Job summary

Methode Electronics is seeking a skilled CNC machinist in the United States to perform set-ups, operations, and routine maintenance on one or more CNC centers. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, and adjust offsets to meet exact specifications.

The role requires 5+ years of setting up and operating CNC or manual equipment, proficiency with GD&T, and precision measuring tools, along with solid English communication. Base pay is hourly with overtime benefits and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
• Must read and interpret blueprints or drawings, including GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine set-up/changeover on CNC and/or manual mills, lathes, and drill presses to meet product specifications.
• Perform first-time set-up of equipment for new products including programming, tool setting, and offset adjustments.
• Perform manual production operations as needed (load/unload parts, deburr, clean).
• Visually and dimensionally inspect machined parts to verify workmanship.
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance per manuals/instructions.
• Maintain neat, safe work area and follow 5S standards.
