Job summary

Matthews Memorialization, a Matthews International company, is seeking a Machine Operator to support setup, calibration and operation of production equipment. The role includes inspecting finished parts against tolerances and addressing minor malfunctions to keep production moving.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (GED preferred) and several years of machine operating experience, plus basic computer skills and the ability to work overtime in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of machine operating experience.
• Occasional travel may be required.
• Basic MS Office, Outlook & Internet skills.
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, & planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships and work autonomously or in a team.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Unload parts and inspect quality; set up equipment.
• Operate equipment to meet production needs.
• Maintain stock of materials and machine parts for equipment.
• Determine parts to be manufactured based on production orders.
• Observe machines to detect defects or malfunctions.
