Job summary

MiTek Inc. in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate conventional mills, lathes, and other equipment, fabricating metallic and non-metallic parts using Lean and 5S practices.

You will read blueprints, select cutting tools, and measure with calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy. Maintain a clean work area, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot minor issues as needed.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• 2+ years preferred.
• Microsoft Office applications experience.
• Technical School Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual machinery including lathes, mills, drill presses, saws, and radial arm drill.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Identify appropriate cutting tools and select speeds/feeds for machining operations.
• Inspect finished parts and record results.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
