Job summary

Dover Precision Components is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run machine tools including compression molding presses, blenders, ovens, routing machines, and possibly CNC machines. The role supports production by following job orders, adjusting tooling and settings, and verifying product conformity.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, basic measuring skills with micrometers and calipers, and a commitment to 5S organization and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tool.
• Organization skills; keep area clean to 5S standards.
• Prior shop or mechanical experience desired.
• Must work according to safety policies and procedures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, tooling instructions, fixtures, and equipment settings.
• Selects, positions, and secures tool in tool holder
• Moves controls to position press and work piece in relation to each other, and to set specified feeds, speeds, and pressures.
• Observes operation of machine and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications
