Job summary

Evantic in Hatfield, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate metalworking equipment, ensuring parts meet drawings and safety guidelines with high quality and uptime.

You will perform basic machine setup, adjust controls, inspect parts with calipers and micrometers, document time and job activity in Vista/MES, and follow ISO inspection processes. Prior experience in close tolerance metal forming is preferred. This is a full-time direct labor position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution / Trade or Technical Certification, required.
• 1-2 years’ experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in close tolerance metal forming.
• Ability to operate equipment and make adjustments.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring devices such as micrometer, caliper, and height gauge.
• Capacity to evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
• Moderate ability to operate computers.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic setup and operation of various machines.
• Safely operates machines in accordance with machine specifications.
• Regulates machining by setting and adjusting controls.
• Inspects product for defects using specialized measuring instruments as required.
• Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning to ensure maximum up-time.
• Selects and positions die sets or tools in proper position to meet product requirements.
• Identifies requirements and set machine controls.
• Measures blank or strip using measurement tape or dial caliper.
• Observes machine operation to detect misalignment or malfunction.
• Reads blueprint, job traveler, and other instructions for such specifications as dimensions, tolerances, and tooling instructions.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Accurately documents time worked by clocking in and out of payroll time clock
• Correctly documents all job activity and transactions in Vista/MES system
• Adheres to ISO inspection processes
