Silva International in Momence, IL is hiring a Technical Machine Operator for a full-time, hourly role. You will calibrate, operate, and maintain production machines, ensuring performance and quality while following GMP and food-safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a machine operator preferred
• Solid understanding of production procedures and best practices
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, SOPs, and handbooks
• Ability to document settings and production results
• Experience using touch screen controllers
• Demonstrated critical thinking ability

Responsibilities

• Calibrate the machine before production begins
• Ensure machines operate to standards
• Monitor and control machine performance and settings
• Regularly conduct tests of machine performance
• Inspect machinery periodically and fix issues
• Check output and identify issues
• Submit performance reports
• Conduct processing checks to meet customer specs
• Understand and follow all SOP settings
• Adhere to GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules
