Job summary

Urschel, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking a Precision Machine Operator for 2nd shift in the Milling department. The role is full-time, Monday-Thursday with possible Friday work based on workload at our Chesterton, Indiana facility.

Starting pay is $29.18/hour plus a 5% shift differential. Benefits include ESOP, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, paid holidays, and education reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret engineering prints and job notes.
• Perform machining operations to tight tolerances and verify with gaging.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual or CNC machine tools to machine parts from various materials.
• Inspect tolerances and document inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Prepare parts for finishing and clean/de-burr as Urschel specification.
