Job summary

Cometic Gasket, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate and monitor production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in Kentucky.

The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety standards, with opportunities for flexibility across shift times and overtime as production needs dictate. The successful candidate will read instructions, set up machines, perform basic maintenance, and record production data while ensuring high-quality output and teamwork with supervisors

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience in manufacturing or machine operation is preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or specifications.
Strong attention to detail and quality is needed.
Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
Good attendance is required.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate production machinery according to established procedures and specifications.
Monitor equipment during operation to ensure proper functioning and detect issues.
Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines.
Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and efficiency.
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Record production data, including quantities, downtime, and defects.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to maintenance or supervision.
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
