Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing or machine operation is preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, or specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality is needed.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills are important.
  • Good attendance is required.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate production machinery according to established procedures and specifications
  • Monitor equipment during operation to ensure proper functioning and detect any issues
  • Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on machines
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain product quality and efficiency
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
  • Record production data, including quantities, downtime, and defects
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major problems to maintenance or supervision

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds as needed
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced manufacturing setting
  • Exposure to moving machinery, loud noise, and industrial materials
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Schedule:

Full-time; may include overtime and weekends, depending on production needs.

  • Shifts:
    • 1st Shift: M-F, 7a-3:30p
    • 2nd Shift: M-F, 3:30p-12a (includes $1/hour Shift Differential)
    • 3rd Shift: Su-Th, 10:30p-7a (includes $2/hour Shift Differential)
