Job summary

Saunders Converting, a Division of R.S. Hughes, is seeking a Machine Operator to safely operate packaging equipment for repackaging adhesives, epoxies and greases into smaller units. You will follow SOPs, ensure accurate fill volumes, maintain lot traceability, and keep the line running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience operating filling, dispensing, or packaging equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow written procedures precisely and maintain accurate production records.
• Basic math skills to verify fill volumes/weights against target specifications.
• Ability to safely operate a drum lift and work around pressurized pneumatic equipment.
• Strong attention to detail around labeling, lot traceability and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Job Travelers, BOMs and Routing Processes.
• Set up workstation before each run, verify nozzle and equipment setup.
• Inspect source containers for product identity, lot number and condition.
• Position and secure drum lift, fill target containers, and apply correct closures.
• Monitor fill weight/volume and ensure traceability throughout the run.
• Shutdown and cleanup after each run, log production data.
• Identify and report issues to maintenance when needed.
