Job summary

Hyliion is seeking a Technician, Engine Assembly to precisely assemble Karno linear engine modules in a controlled production environment. You will align components, stack up assemblies, and verify seals while maintaining engine cleanliness and documentation per travelers and drawings.

The role supports limited-production builds, collaborating with engineering and quality teams to iterate tooling and assembly sequences for reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical cert preferred.
• 3–7 years of precision mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience with seal installation, torque control, and high-tolerance assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble Karno linear engine subassemblies, including reactor, heater and chiller systems.
• Perform axial alignment and stack-up controlled assemblies to tight tolerances.
• Ensure cleanliness, verify seals, and document critical characteristics.
• Follow work instructions, perform in-process inspections, and support test activities.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality during design maturation and iteration.
