Responsibilities

• The Leveling Machine Operator handles coil loading from skids to payoff and measures gauge and width with measuring devices.
• Set up the leveling machine by interpreting process sheets, setting parameters, and applying lubrication.
• Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reshape products and reduce defects.
• Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedules to determine setup specifications and dimensions.
• Monitor speeds and machine mechanisms using dial indicators to ensure proper operation.
• Coordinate with Scheduling & Maintenance on production issues.
• Enter data into the SAP system.
