Job summary

Materion is seeking a Bonding Mill Operator in Lincoln, RI to help meet daily production targets by setting up and operating bonding mill equipment. The role emphasizes quality control and troubleshooting to ensure products meet specifications.

Key tasks include interpreting process sheets, adjusting machine parameters, and coordinating with Scheduling and Maintenance. Prior bonding mill experience is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

3+ years of manufacturing experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as process sheets and blueprints.
Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, gauges).
Experience operating a bonding mill is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Handle coils: remove from skids, load to payoff, measure gauge and width with measuring devices.
Set up the Bonding Mill by interpreting process sheets, selecting machine parameters and applying lubrication.
Adjust machine set-ups to control thickness, shape products and reduce defects.
Inspect raw materials and finished products for conformance to specifications.
Read production orders, blueprints, and the mill schedule to determine set up specs and sequences.
Monitor and adjust machine speeds using dial indicators.
Collaborate with Scheduling and Maintenance on production issues.
Enter data into the SAP system.
