JM Fabrication Company LLC in Arlington, TX is seeking a Lathe Operator to produce precision turned components for aerospace and defense customers to drawing and quality requirements.

You will set up and run lathe operations, hold tight tolerances, inspect parts with micrometers and gauges, perform in-process inspections, maintain tooling, and document traveler information while keeping the work area safe and organized.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of lathe experience in a precision machine shop (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Aerospace or defense experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up and run lathe operations per traveler and drawing.
• Hold tight tolerances on diameters, threads, bores, and finishes.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and indicators.
• Complete in-process inspection and traveler documentation.
• Maintain tooling and equipment and keep the work area clean.
• Escalate dimensional or setup issues promptly.
