Job summary

JM Fabrication Company LLC – Arlington, TX is seeking a Lathe Operator to produce precision turned components for aerospace and defense customers in accordance with drawings and quality requirements.

The role requires setting up and running lathe operations, holding tight tolerances, inspecting parts with precision gauges, and maintaining tooling and documentation. 2+ years lathe experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of lathe experience in a precision machine shop (preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Aerospace or defense experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Set up and run lathe operations per traveler and drawing.
• Hold tight tolerances on diameters, threads, bores, and finishes.
• Inspect parts with micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, and indicators.
• Complete in-process inspection and traveler documentation.
• Maintain tooling and equipment and keep the work area clean.
• Escalate dimensional or setup issues promptly.
