Job summary

The-Crosby-Grou in Tulsa, OK is hiring a Lathe/Grinder Operator for a Regular Full-Time role. You will set up and operate standard lathe, grinder, and CNC machines, read blueprints, and use precision tools to manufacture parts to print.

Responsibilities include loading parts, changing tools, maintaining safety, and meeting production and quality standards. Requires 2+ years lathe experience and strong math skills. Night shift 3:30 PM–2:00 AM with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years lathe experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to set up and operate standard lathe and CNC machine tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and written specifications.
• Knowledge of shop mathematics.
• Ability to use machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Familiarity with machining various metals, including proper speeds and feeds.
• Ability to meet production and quality standards with minimal rejected parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate standard lathe, grinder, and CNC machine tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints and written specifications.
• Use shop mathematics to support accurate machining.
• Skillfully use machinist hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Shape metal bars, forgings, and castings to precise dimensions and finishes.
• Work with various metals and apply proper speeds and feeds during machining.
• Operate one or more machines to meet production schedules, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
• Inspect work to ensure parts meet print specifications and quality requirements.
• Load and unload parts from machines, change tools, and set up machinery as needed.
• Read, write, and understand safety warnings, work instructions, and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, inspectors, and other team members.
