Staffmark Group in Defiance, OH is hiring a Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role combines technical laser cutting with safety-focused practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, measure parts with inspection tools, and load material with an overhead crane. The job includes reading programs from the server and running the laser for production, plus basic maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with quality inspection equipment and measurement tools.
• Working knowledge of basic math and computer applications.
• Experience operating an overhead crane preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental procedures without exception.
• Maintain reliable, on-time attendance for every scheduled shift.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors.
• Accurately read and apply quality tools to ensure every part meets specification.
• Retrieve job programs from the server and activate the laser machine for production runs.
• Operate the overhead crane to load raw material and unload completed skeletons.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs to keep the laser running smoothly and minimize downtime.
• Execute and follow the daily scheduling board to keep production on track.
