Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines; Amada experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and material specs; strong mechanical aptitude.
• Comfortable with Windows-based controls and basic computer skills; AMNC series experience a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, basic shop math, and use of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely set up and operate the Amada Ventis fiber laser according to job travelers, blueprints, and production schedules.
• Load/unload material (manual or automated if available) and adjust cutting parameters.
• Retrieve, load, and optimize programs; monitor process and diagnose issues in real time.
• Install and align tooling; perform trial bends and fine-tuning to achieve required angles with minimal scrap.
• Maintain production documentation and communicate issues to supervisor; perform routine maintenance and tooling care.
