Job summary

Inovar Packaging Group is seeking a Rewind Machine Operator – Label Printing in Fishers, IN. This full-time role operates an upright rewinder, inspects for quality, and supports production with attention to detail.

Responsibilities include setting up rewind equipment, performing visual inspections, addressing defects, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace in line with OSHA standards; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic repairs and adjustments.
• Ability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rewinding equipment per job specifications.
• Visually inspect finished rolls to ensure customer specs and quality standards.
• Identify and address defects to maintain product consistency and integrity.
• Perform light maintenance including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor parts.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues and escalate as needed.
• Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and roll lifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe work area in compliance with OSHA.
• Communicate with managers and team members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.

The Label Inspector/Rewind Operator is responsible for operating an upright rewinder and inspecting for quality compliance before final processing or shipment. Attention to detail is critical to maintaining our high-quality standards. Tabletop rewinding is required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rewinding equipment according to job specifications.
• Perform visual inspection of finished press rolls to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and address defects to ensure product consistency and integrity.
• Perform light maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing minor parts to keep machines operating efficiently.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Basic Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to make basic repairs and machine adjustments.
• Ability to work all scheduled hours, including overtime, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
