Job summary

CSI Laboratories, a Fulgent Genetics Company, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to assist in returning paraffin blocks and stained slides to clients, manage shipments in FedEx manager, and accurately document shipping details in the LIS when applicable.

The ideal candidate has an HS Diploma or higher, the ability to juggle multiple projects, and high attention to detail. Laboratory/medical knowledge is a plus; reports to Supervisor, Support Services in a safety-conscious lab environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or higher; vocational education or higher is acceptable.
• Some college experience preferred but not required.
• Laboratory/medical knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensures paraffin block(s) and stained slides are returned to the client in a timely fashion, based on case type.
• Enters shipments in the Fed Ex manager and prints Air Bill labels for shipping pouches.
• Accurately notes shipping details in the case and then completes the case in the LIS, when applicable.
• Reconciles empty boxes and disposes of damaged boxes.
• Ensures returned ice packs are placed in the freezer for reuse.
• Monitors, responds, and completes “Shipping Help” requests.
• Maintains clean work areas.
