Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated seeks a Quality Inspector to ensure metal parts meet exact specifications in our Santa Ana facility. You will read blueprints, perform dimensional checks, and document results using standard quality records.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years of inspection experience, strong MS Office skills, and a solid understanding of quality control methods. This position involves routine calibration tasks and working with aerospace materials in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–3 years performing inspection on metal parts.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and good math/technical skills.
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; calibration experience.
• Proficient with micrometers, height gauge, comparator and metrology instruments.
• Able to read blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials.

Responsibilities

• Inspect products using gauges and basic hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gage, comparator and other metrology instruments).
• Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials and outgoing products.
• Reject products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
• Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand requirements.
• Measure product dimensions and compare to specifications.
• Document inspection outcomes with detailed reports and performance records.
• Identify quality issues and recommend process improvements.
• Perform first article, in-process, receiving, and final inspections.
• Reject and write nonconforming parts for MRB.
• Document inspection results in quality database.
