Job summary

PlastiCert, Inc. is seeking a molding setup technician to manage material handling, mold setup, and the initiation of production runs. The role requires interpreting prints, performing first piece inspections, and maintaining equipment during production.

Responsibilities include coordinating with mold maintenance, ensuring safe operation of all presses and related equipment, and upholding quality and productivity standards throughout each shift.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Must demonstrate mechanical and process skills.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Handle material management: receiving, mixing, issuing, and returning materials to inventory per work order.
• Set up molds and auxiliary equipment according to programmed memory or sheet.
• Run molding processes and obtain first piece inspection.
• Maintain molding process throughout production run and perform regular mold cleaning.
• Coordinate with mold maintenance on changes and tooling maintenance.
• Read and interpret prints and specification sheets; ensure safety of self and coworkers.
