Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Gaffney, SC seeks a Maintenance Mold Repair Technician to repair, maintain molds and tooling per specifications. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and fabricate components while ensuring a safe work environment so production stays efficient.

The role requires experience with metalworking tools, strong attention to detail and teamwork. Hourly pay ranges from $34 to $38 with benefits starting day one and weekly pay; full-time team members receive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related 2-year degree preferred.
• 5 years experience as Maintenance Injection Mold Technician preferred.
• Experience with metal working tools including drills, milling machines, grinders and lathes.
• Ability to troubleshoot injection operation and assembly.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and handle carbide tooling.
• Experience with quality control analysis and using measuring tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Autonomy with minimal supervision and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, design schematics and CAD drawings.
• Set up and operate grinders, mills, lathes, drill presses and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete work orders.
• Inspect tools and dies for defects and perform repairs.
• Support tooling efficiency improvement and scrap reduction projects.
• Follow SOPs and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Assist with mold changes on injection molding machines.
• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding equipment.
• Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
