Freeman Enclosure Systems in Batavia, Ohio is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The role involves preparing metal surfaces and applying paint and protective coatings to large equipment, panels, and enclosure components.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with surface preparation, spray painting, spray guns, pressure pots, and compressed air equipment, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with surface preparation and spray painting.
• Familiarity with spray guns, pressure pots and compressed air equipment.
• Ability to handle paints and solvents safely.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and priming as required.
• Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and free of dirt, oil, grease, rust, dust, and other contaminants before painting.
• Apply paint and protective coatings to large equipment, metal panels, and enclosure components.
• Operate spray guns, pressure pots, compressed air systems, and other painting equipment.
• Apply paint evenly while preventing runs, streaks, drips, overspray, and other defects.
• Inspect painted surfaces to ensure they meet company quality standards and specifications.
• Mix and handle paints, solvents, primers, and other coating materials according to established procedures.
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, pressure pots, hoses, paint equipment, and work areas.
