Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, debris, scale, slag, or other materials from parts using grinders or brushes.
• Inspect and maintain paint spray guns, pressure pots, and hoses for readiness; adjust blends as needed.
• Apply one coat of standard primer and paint to carbon steel parts using spray guns.
• Apply color stripes to indicate pressure ratings per work orders and ASME B16.5.
• Stamp pressure ratings and specifications on work orders as required.
• Perform cosmetic touch-ups and small-item painting without affecting production.
• Maintain safe workplace practices and proper disposal of waste; keep equipment clean.
• Complete work travelers and required quality-control paperwork as assigned.
• Follow supervisor directions and support production goals.
