Job summary

Mid-Continent Engineering in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Painter for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM–2:30 AM, Mon–Thu). You will paint complex parts per work instructions and blueprints, mask and prep surfaces, and maintain paint equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Painting experience
• 2nd Shift- 4 pm to 2:30 am- Monday through Thursday- Shift Premium $2.00 per hour
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints
• Knowledge of spray painting, mixing paint, and cleaning equipment
• Thorough knowledge of military and commercial quality requirements
• Knowledge of powder coating and related processes
• Access to MSDS information for all chemicals and paints present in the working area
• Team oriented and able to identify problems and offer solutions
• Organized with effective communication

Responsibilities

• Paint complex manufactured parts per work instructions and blueprint specifications
• Masking and part marking prepping surfaces for paint
• Assist with internal and external audits in paint department
• Mix paint as needed to perform tasks
• Clean and maintain all equipment
• Complete necessary paperwork and checklists
• Maintain paint minimizer and safety standards
• May handle hazardous waste and work across departments as needed
