The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, fabricating, and replicating hydraulic cylinders to exact specifications, using manual lathe and mill, and reading blueprints to produce replacement components. The position involves teardown, inspection, honing, and reassembly, with emphasis on precision, torque control, and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Hydraulics certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hydraulic cylinder repair experience.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and cranes.
• Experience with precision measuring tools.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills.
• Attention to detail and safety compliance.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic cylinders.
• Use precision tools to verify specifications.
• Disassemble, inspect, and document part condition.
• Reassemble with proper seals, bearings, pistons.
• Repair or replace damaged parts.
• Operate cylinder hone to finish inner surface.
• Turn, face, thread, and finish rods with a manual lathe.
• Machine end caps, flanges, mounts with a manual mill.
• Read blueprints to replicate components.
• Test for leaks and performance per standards.
• Maintain repair records.
• Assist with loading/unloading and facility movement.
