Job summary

BestLogic Staffing is seeking an experienced Honing Technician / Precision ID Machinist to join a leading precision manufacturing client in Connecticut. The role focuses on setting up and operating manual honing equipment to produce components with extremely tight tolerances and superior surface finish.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in honing or precision machining, reads blueprints, and uses precision measuring tools to verify quality.

Qualifications

1+ years honing or precision machining experience.
Experience reading blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual honing machines.
Produce components to extremely tight tolerances (up to 0.0001–0.0002").
Hone aluminum, steel, titanium, plastics, and specialty alloys.
Select proper honing stones, abrasives, tooling, and fixtures.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
Verify quality, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet production goals.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
