Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in the United States is seeking a Heavy Assembler to join our production team on the First Shift. You will assemble large subassemblies and complete units, using templates and measurements, and verify tolerances during assembly.

The role requires 0–2 years of relevant experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and familiarity with hand and power tools. Apprenticeships are a plus, and safety standards must be followed.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship in area of specialty a plus.
• Experienced use of hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specs, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements; assembles components and checks fit; adjusts to meet specs and notifies supervisor for resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and arranging repairs as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean working environment by following procedures and documenting actions.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
