Job summary

Nidec Corporation in Lexington, TN, is seeking a Heavy Assembler to join our first shift team. You will assemble fabricated parts into large subassemblies and complete units, aligning components, testing, and calibrating to meet specifications.

Candidates should have 0-2 years of relevant experience and a High School diploma or equivalent. Apprenticeship is a plus; experience with hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and various power tools is required.

Qualifications

Apprenticeship in area of specialty a plus.
Experienced use of hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous power tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specs, and parts lists; gathers parts/subassemblies/tools/materials.
Positions parts and subassemblies; assembles components; verifies fit and tolerances; adjusts as needed and notifies supervisor for resources.
Keeps equipment operational by performing preventive maintenance; troubleshoots malfunctions; calls for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations; documents actions.
Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders.
