Job summary

Burton Mill Solutions, a legacy division within Wood Technologies International, seeks a Heat Treat Operator to join our Fountain Inn facility. You will operate advanced furnaces to harden, temper, anneal, and case harden metal parts, ensuring they meet exact specs in a high-temp environment.

We offer competitive pay ($20/hr and up) based on experience, with M-TH 5a-3p schedule and comprehensive benefits as part of full-time employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs alone or 100 lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to walk and stand for 8-12 hours daily.
• Must read and understand English; good math including decimals/fractions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify heat treating furnace/robotics programming as needed.
• Understand heat treating processes to consistently treat steel to tolerance.
• Collect and apply data to run furnaces efficiently.
• Use calipers and micrometers to measure parts and verify specs.
• Load and unload steel from ovens and pallets; perform routine maintenance.
• Cross-train to other positions and assist teammates when required.
• Operate within Lean and safety guidelines; wear PPE daily.
