Job summary

Responsibilities include setup and operation of grinding machines, reading blueprints, maintaining safety and quality records, and supporting productivity goals in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiar with general computer applications.
• Excellent organizational skills and results orientation.
• Proficient at operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate one or more grinding machines for grinding surfaces to specification.
• Set-up equipment according to product blueprints with minimal supervision.
• Start and stop machinery; verify conformance using gauges and micrometers.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of equipment and work area.
• Support productivity and process-related goals.
