AMETEK Precitech, Inc., Keene, NH, is seeking a Precision Grinder Machinist to set up and operate surface grinding equipment and produce finished components to tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate will read prints, determine feeds and speeds, select grinding wheels, and use measuring instruments. This hourly role requires physical work, safety awareness, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training with 2+ years of experience in a similar environment.
• Ability to read and interpret prints and inspection reports to machine finished components.
• Experience determining feed rates and operating speeds for grinding processes.
• Experience with tooling selection and grinding wheel choices for precision parts.
• Ability to use a broad range of measuring instruments and electronic indicators.
• Experience using computers in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate surface grinding machines to produce high precision components to exacting specifications.
• Operate other machine tools as assigned.
• Collaborate with product and manufacturing engineering teams.
• Complete required paperwork to record volume and production time.
• Maintain equipment for efficient operation and safety compliance.
• Train or instruct others as requested.
• Stand for extended periods and handle lifting up to 40 lbs.
