Job summary

TrendHR is seeking an experienced Precision Grinder / Grinding Machinist for a Fort Worth operation. This is not a basic production role; you will set up and operate OD/ID grinders, surface and Blanchard/rotary surface grinders, and grind components to tight tolerances from engineering prints.

You will read prints, dress wheels, and adjust machines to maintain dimensional accuracy while inspecting your work with micrometers and calipers.

Location: Fort Worth, TX
Pay: $23 - $30/hour, Depending on Experience
Schedule: Full-Time | 8-Hour Shift | Overtime Available

TrendHR is recruiting experienced Precision Grinders / Grinding Machinists for an established precision machining operation in Fort Worth.

This is not a basic production or hand-grinding position.

We're looking for experienced grinding professionals who can set up and operate precision grinding equipment, work from prints, hold tight tolerances, and inspect their own work.

Experience with OD, ID, surface, and/or Blanchard grinding is highly desired.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate OD / cylindrical grinders
• Set up and operate ID grinders
• Operate surface and Blanchard / rotary surface grinders
• Grind components to specified dimensions, tolerances, and surface finishes
• Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and job specifications
• Select, dress, and maintain grinding wheels
• Make machine adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy
• Inspect your work using micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, height gauges, and other precision instruments
• Work with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys
• Perform multiple setups and transition between custom jobs
• Follow established quality and shop safety procedures

What We're Looking For

• Previous precision grinding or grinding machinist experience
• Hands-on experience with OD and/or ID grinding
• Surface grinding experience
• Blanchard grinding experience is a strong plus
• Ability to independently set up grinding equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and machining drawings
• Experience holding tight tolerances
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection tools
• Understanding of grinding wheels, dressing, feeds, speeds, and surface finishes
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Not Your Typical Production Shop

This is a custom, project-based machining environment. You'll work on different components, materials, setups, and customer requirements rather than running the same part all day.

Grinding is often the final precision operation before a component is complete, so accuracy and quality matter.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can take a job from print and setup through grinding and final inspection.
