Standex in Wisconsin is seeking a Grinder/Finisher to finish metal components to precise specifications using grinding and polishing tools. You will ensure surfaces are smooth and meet quality standards for final assembly.

The role runs 7:00am-3:30pm and requires a high school diploma or GED plus at least 1 year of related experience. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work well in a team while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Manual dexterity to handle and operate grinding tools and equipment.

Responsabilités

• Finish metal components to precise specifications using grinding and polishing tools and machinery.
• Operate grinding tools, fixtures, and blocks to meet specifications, including robotic cells as required.
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and specifications for setup and finish dimensions.
• Inspect finished workpieces with gauges, micrometers, and profilometers to ensure conformance.
• Perform daily/weekly maintenance on grinding equipment and keep logs as needed.
• Participate in SQDC initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Train others by sharing information and expertise with the team.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and audits as directed.
