Job summary

Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc., located in Anniston, Alabama, seeks a grinder to process ductile iron fittings and related products. You will operate grinders and band/saws, inspect parts for quality, and maintain a tidy, safe work area.

New hires start at $25.60 per hour. Benefits include life/AD&D insurance, short-term disability, 401(k) with company match, ten paid holidays, and five vacation days after six months. Drug screen and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year related experience preferred.
• Foundry or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promote and uphold The McWane Way principles, values, and behaviors.
• Adhere to safety protocols outlined in the Tyler Union Safety Management Program.
• Assist supervisors in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow ergonomic lifting techniques.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues.
• Read and follow SOPs to determine product specifications.
• Operate band saws, abrasive saws, and grinders to finish products.
• Inspect products to ensure quality meets specifications.
• Record production data such as quantities and times.
