Newly hired employees start with a GREAT PAY - Foundry Utility pay rate is $25.14 per hour. This is a hourly position with outstanding benefits offerings, vacation, and holiday pay. Tyler Union, a division of McWane, Inc. located in Anniston, Alabama has a century of success in manufacturing and selling ductile iron fittings, joint restraints, and valve boxes for the waterworks industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Tyler Union Safety Management Program. Advise management of any deviations from this program.
• Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected and notify operators of any malfunctions.
• Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using hoists.
• Count finished products to determine if product orders are complete.
• Mark or tag identification on parts.
• Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances.
• Help production workers perform duties of lesser skill, such as supplying or holding materials or tools or cleaning work areas and equipment.
• Use appropriate tools to finish castings based on quality specifications.
• Clean and lubricate equipment.
• Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, or dates and times of product production.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• One (1) to three (3) years of related on-the-job experience required.
• Previous work experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing environment preferred.
