Job summary

Solve Industrial Motion Group in Indiana is seeking an operator skilled in hob machining and GD&T interpretation. You will read work orders, set up hob machines, measure parts, and maintain quality through precise dimensional control.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in verification of parts using varied gauges to modify off-sets per drawings.
• Will operate machines at a demanding pace with focus on accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic to generate finished dimensions.
• Skills in monitoring performance, gauges, logic, tests, inspections, and process control.

Responsibilities

• Run parts as directed with ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, GD&T and machining parameters.
• Run multiple hobs as set up with the ability to change parts and insure alignment.
• Verify settings by measuring parts (TIR, O.D., I.D.) and production pieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing grooving and tooth cutting and run-out.
• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures.
• Maintain equipment by performing preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting actions and needs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Update job knowledge by reading technical publications.
• Accomplish goals by taking ownership and seeking value-adding opportunities.
• Any other task assigned by management
