Job summary

David is seeking an Alterations / Quality Control / Quality Assurance Associate to perform garment alterations, quality inspection, and merchandise processing in a distribution center. You will ensure returned and incoming product meets quality standards and is prepared for resale, repair, or disposition, supporting inventory flow and cross-functional needs.

The role requires attention to detail, basic math, and experience with RF scanning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years in alterations, QA, or warehouse operations preferred.
• Strong hand sewing skills preferred; machine sewing a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet defined standards.
• Basic math, measurement, and communication skills required.
• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Experience with RF scanning devices and warehouse systems preferred.
• Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and strong work ethic required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect merchandise for quality and fit.
• Perform garment alterations and repairs.
• Determine product disposition (quality, repair, or RTV).
• Conduct quality inspections and sampling.
• Receive, sort, and repack merchandise while maintaining original packing integrity.
• Maintain inventory control with POS and RF scanning.
• Ensure proper handling of non-conforming merchandise.
• Maintain documentation and case integrity throughout processing.
• Label and package merchandise per standards.
• Support supervisors with task assignment and workflow.
• Participate in returns processing and warehouse operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment per safety policies.
• Meet productivity, quality, and attendance standards.
