Job summary

Aerotek in West Fargo, ND is hiring a Production Assembler. You will assemble garage door components from 7 to 40 feet, using SOPs and a variety of hand and power tools to ensure high-quality parts.

This full-time, contract-to-hire role requires lifting up to 75 pounds and precise measurement with a tape measure. Day and night shifts are available in a climate-controlled but production-heavy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure for cuts and fits.
• Able to lift 50–75 pounds regularly and handle materials safely.
• Familiarity with basic mechanical concepts and metal/construct materials.
• Follow written instructions and SOPs precisely.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate measurements and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build garage door parts 7 to 40 feet long per specs.
• Follow SOPs for each door model to ensure quality.
• Cut and bend metal rails using appropriate tools with precision.
• Measure, cut, and fit foam board for insulation in assemblies.
• Bolt, rivet, and fasten components to form complete assemblies.
• Load parts onto conveyors and handle materials safely.
• Use a tape measure to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect work for defects and correct issues before moving on.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace at all times.
• Adhere to production schedules and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow safety guidelines and proper operation of tools and equipment.
