Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) seeks a detail-oriented Gage Control Technician to support our quality systems through calibration, maintenance, and control of inspection gages and measuring equipment.

This role focuses on ensuring measurement accuracy, compliance with quality standards, and uninterrupted production support. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and experience with precision measurement instruments.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with quality assurance instruments, measuring equipment and inspection gages is required.
• Strong math skills including algebra are essential.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are needed.
• Understanding of inspection layouts, measurement operations and precision instruments is required.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the gage calibration and tracking system.
• Perform calibration and periodic layouts of gages and measuring equipment.
• Conduct gage maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
• Complete daily gage inspections and releases for production use.
• Perform new gage layouts, correlation studies, GR&R studies, and gage releases.
• Maintain documentation of all gage-related activities and calibrations.
• Coordinate external calibration services and vendor pickup/delivery as needed.
• Support manufacturing by ensuring measurement equipment is available and functioning.
