Job summary

Enerstaff in Spring, TX is seeking a Forge Operator (Temp-to-Hire) to set up, run, and maintain heavy forging equipment, read blueprints, and verify parts meet exact tolerances.

You will manage dies, load and unload material, monitor operations, perform basic inspections, and document output while adhering to safety policies. Shift is 5am-3:30pm, ASAP start, with background/drug screen required.

Qualifications

• Operate or tend presses and forging equipment following procedures and production standards.
• Perform basic measurements and visual checks to verify part quality.
• Report issues and nonconforming parts per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup: Read blueprints, work orders, and specs to set ram pressures, stroke depths, and sequences.
• Die Management: Install, adjust, or remove dies and hammers using hand tools and overhead cranes.
• Material Handling: Heat metal or feed stock into presses, hammers, and rolls.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished parts with measurement tools to ensure design tolerances.
• Maintenance: Troubleshoot, clear jams, and perform routine repairs on equipment.
