B&G Foods is seeking a production operator to join our manufacturing team. You will verify safety devices, follow start-up procedures, prepare materials, and maintain logs while working with assigned machinery.

We value excellent attendance, clear communication, and independent problem-solving. You will follow food safety policies, support shift changes, and help ensure a safe, high-quality product is produced in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing environments.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good reading and comprehension abilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to identify problems and respond accordingly.
• Basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Verify all E-stops and guards before start-up.
• Follow operating and safety procedures for machinery.
• Gather and verify pre-staged materials before line start.
• Dispose of waste into proper recycle bins or trash.
• Complete pre-op reports and logs as assigned.
• Verify materials match spec sheets.
• Check glue machine temperature and glue presence.
• Ensure capper steam valve settings are correct.
• Keep work area clean and free of debris.
• Communicate shift changes and issues with the team.
• Ask questions when unsure and seek training when needed.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety policies.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Produce a safe, wholesome product and perform other duties as required.
