Job summary

Responsibilities include operating filling equipment, maintaining pouch seals and weights, and documenting sanitation and PMs. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be able to obtain forklift certification; prior food-industry maintenance is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years related work experience preferred.
• Experience with Cryovac filling machines preferred.
• Maintenance or technical background in the food industry preferred.
• Able to become OSHA forklift certified or hold current certification.
• Knowledge of raw materials and production processes is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand information and follow procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurately.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper package integrity per established requirements: date codes, pouch size, temperatures, weights.
• Maintains accurate pouch seals and tests to ensure seal quality.
• Operates and adjusts filling equipment to specifications (fillers, video jets, weight checkers).
• Documents filling, sanitation, PMs, and material reconciliation.
• Monitors processing temperatures, kettle levels, and weight control.
• Supports shift changeovers and communicates information clearly.
• Adheres to safety programs and GMP; ensures SOPs are followed.
• Trains and mentors new employees as required.
