Job summary

AVANTech, LLC is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to build and finish industrial equipment. You will follow drawings, install fasteners to specified torque, and perform finishing to meet quality standards.

You’ll read schematics, operate torque tools, and document torque logs while handling materials and crates for shipment. Forklift experience is required, and lifting up to 50 lbs is part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade training preferred.
• 2–4 years hands-on mechanical assembly or related experience.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Experience using torque wrenches and following torque sequences.
• Proficiency with standard measuring tools and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finished products per engineering drawings, BOMs and work instructions.
• Install hardware and fasteners to specified torque using torque tools.
• Follow torque sequences to ensure proper load distribution and prevent damage.
• Read blueprints and specs to determine assembly methods and torque needs.
• Perform finishing, cleaning, and cosmetic work to meet quality standards.
• Package and crate products for shipment; fabricate crates as needed.
• Maintain torque logs and traveler paperwork; inspect against drawings.
• Identify discrepancies and report issues to supervision.
