Job summary

Schott North America in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled assembly operator to prepare, inspect, and assemble multi and multi/multi fiber-related components. You will handle workstation setup, tooling, and material movements to staging areas, while maintaining accurate records in SAP.

The role requires reading, writing and speaking English, good manual dexterity, and teamwork. Daily tasks include inspections, repairs, and following strict safety procedures, with attention to productivity

Qualifications

• US Person status may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares builds and inspects standard multi and multi/multi assemblies.
• Prepares workstation, fixtures and tooling.
• Obtains boxes of fibers, channels, and moves completed assemblies to staging area.
• Performs routine types of basic and routine multi, multi-multi operations.
• Performs visual inspection of each fiber and of assemblies in process.
• Performs routine repair operations.
• Performs ultrasonic cleaning functions.
• Meets utilization targets and standard times.
• Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
• Maintains daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
• Responsible for observing and following all Environmental, Health and Safety rules and procedures.
