Job summary

Afinitas seeks a skilled welder/fabricator in a plant environment to interpret blueprints, set up welding equipment, and perform fabrication and inspection tasks. You will work with MIG/TIG processes, grind as needed, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• Must be able to competently perform all level 1 duties.
• Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex blueprints, specifications, and machined part prints.
• Strong grinding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, route sheets, and specs to determine methods.
• Set up and operate welding equipment; select rod, wire, and electrodes.
• Perform saw operations and painting as required.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances with micrometers and calipers.
• Measure and test completed units for conformance to specs.
