FlightSafety International in Tulsa, OK seeks a skilled machinist to set up and operate conventional, special purpose, and numerical control machines to fabricate metal and nonmetal parts. You will measure, layout, weld, and assemble components, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities include selecting fixtures and tools, calculating machine settings, monitoring runs, and verifying finished work.

Competenze

• Requires set up and operation of conventional, special purpose and CNC machines.
• Ability to read blueprints/specifications and verify conformance of parts.

Mansioni

• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions on material as guides for machining.
• Selects and secures fixtures, tools, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
• Calculates and sets controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth of cut; or inputs program data.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions and adjusts controls as needed.
• Develops layout and plans sequence of operations.
• Locates and marks bending and cutting lines on workpiece.
• Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products and components.
• Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications and tests operation of units.
