Job summary

Charter Wire in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Precision Fabricator to build, modify, and repair vibratory feeder bowls and precision components. You will weld stainless and carbon steel, read engineering drawings, and perform precision measurements to ensure accuracy and quality.

You will operate manual and CNC machines, tune feeder bowls for optimal throughput, and support maintenance with troubleshooting. A technical background and hands-on fabrication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fabrication, machining, tooling experience.
• Experience with TIG welding on stainless steel and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• High school diploma or GED; technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, modify, and repair vibratory feeder bowls, tracks, escapements, and related tooling.
• Build stainless steel and carbon steel assemblies from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision TIG, MIG, and other welding as required and finish components.
• Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, and drill presses.
• Measure with calipers, micrometers, indicators, and height gauges; interpret GD&T.
• Tune vibratory feeder bowls to achieve target feed rates and orientation.
• Repair and rebuild bowl feeders and tooling; assess wear and determine replacements.
• Participate in continuous improvement with Engineering and Maintenance.

Join the team and become part of our family!**POSITION PURPOSE:** The Precision Fabricator builds, modifies, repairs, and troubleshoots custom part feeding systems, tooling, and precision-fabricated components. This role uses advanced fabrication, welding, machining, and mechanical skills to ensure equipment consistently meets required part orientation, flow, quality, and performance standards.
