Job summary

Furst Staffing is seeking a Fabrication Operator in Freeport, IL. You will fabricate components using a variety of production equipment, and you are the starting point of the production process.

You must read technical drawings to 1/32 inch, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform quality checks with basic safety practices. A high school diploma and 2 years in manufacturing are required. Pay rate is $16.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or fabrication experience.
• Able to read technical drawings and measure to 1/32 inch.
• Able to communicate verbally with other employees.

Responsibilities

• Operate shears, saw, miter, benders and other equipment.
• Fabricate components using production equipment.
• Perform quality checks and in-process monitoring.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Maintain records of material consumption and WIP.
